Based in Vassy in the Yonne department, Aballo Transport is the Schiever Group’s freight transportation company. With a team of more than 130 employees, including 120 drivers, it provides daily transportation between the Coopérative U warehouses and our retail locations. Drawing on its expertise, Aballo also serves as a transportation provider for other external companies.
Aballo Transport relies on an integrated logistics system and a fleet that is regularly updated. This ongoing investment allows us to incorporate the latest technological advances to optimize road safety and ensure comfortable and ergonomic working conditions for our drivers.
Reducing Our Emissions
OPTIMIZED TRANSPORT FOR A LOWER ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
We are taking concrete steps to limit the environmental impact of our logistics operations. Today, 97% of Aballo Transport’s fleet meets the Euro 6 emissions standard. As part of this same effort, our drivers are trained in eco-driving, a best practice that allows us to reduce our fuel consumption every year.
Our logistics system is based on a closed-loop flow optimization system designed to minimize unnecessary trips. After each store delivery, our trucks can collect packaging intended for recycling (cardboard, plastic) or pick up goods from our local suppliers. This method drastically reduces empty runs, lowers fuel consumption, and helps us better control our greenhouse gas emissions.

Building on its experience in the transportation industry and its strong local presence, Aballo Transport continues to grow by expanding its client base.
To support this growth momentum, the subsidiary has established a dedicated sales team and is investing in flexible equipment, such as its side-opening tautliner trailers. This expansion allows Aballo Transport to leverage its expertise beyond the Schiever Group.
