DPEF
NON-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE STATEMENT (DPEF)

The Non-Financial Performance Statement (DPEF) reflects our commitment to sustainable and responsible growth.
It highlights our concrete actions in terms of:

  • environmental protection and reduction of our ecological footprint,
  • social responsibility through our regional roots,
  • human resources management,
  • an offering aligned with our values.

This shared ambition across the entire Schiever tribe is at the core of our current and future action plans.

Responsible consumption
A LOCAL, SUPPORTIVE, AND HUMAN-CENTERED RETAIL MODEL

We believe retail should act as a driver for its local communities. That is why we prioritize short supply chains, value local producers, and strengthen community solidarity.

Our commitment is reflected through partnerships with high-quality supply chains via Coopérative U, as well as collaborations with social and solidarity economy structures such as ESAT centers (employment service for disabled people) or integration associations. We also support numerous local initiatives, solidarity-based, sporting, or cultural.

Being sustainable means being useful to our customers, employees, and communities.

Reducing our carbon footprint
CONTROLLED IMPACT, PREPARED FUTURE

Reducing our carbon footprint is at the heart of our strategy.

We have chosen to internalize our carbon assessment in order to better measure our emissions and anticipate new regulations, such as the CSRD directive.
This in-house expertise allows us to optimize energy use, cut fuel consumption, and roll out high-performance equipment: LED lighting in all food stores, next-generation cooling systems, photovoltaic panels, and solar canopies generating renewable energy.

These actions demonstrate our commitment to building a leaner, more efficient, and more sustainable distribution model.

Waste management and recovery
RESPONSIBLE PRACTICES ACROSS ALL OUR SITES

Resource preservation drives our waste management strategy.

We aim to significantly reduce waste generated by our food stores while enhancing recycling and recovery.
A dedicated team oversees multiple initiatives, including our reverse logistics system: trucks return sorted waste to warehouses after deliveries, cutting empty trips and reducing our carbon footprint.

Our teams receive regular training in sorting and recovery, and unsold food is donated to partner associations, equivalent to 750,000 meals distributed in 2024.
