TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

To efficiently supply our stores, we rely on a modern, high-performance logistics fleet.

A Modern Fleet
FOR EFFICIENT LOGISTICS

With more than 65 heavy goods vehicles in France – including tractors and rigid trucks tailored to the size and location of our stores – we optimize our flows to provide reliable, customized service.
Our fleet is regularly renewed, enabling us to integrate the latest technological innovations in:

  • Safety: lane departure warning systems, driver assistance technologies.
  • Comfort: improved sound insulation, air-suspension seat
  • Energy efficiency: reduced fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

These innovations enhance both driver comfort and road safety.

Reducing Our Emissions
OPTIMIZED TRANSPORT FOR A LOWER ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Schiever takes a proactive approach to reducing its environmental footprint. 97% of our fleet meets Euro 6 anti-pollution standards, significantly cutting particle and pollutant gas emissions.

Closed-loop transport planning optimizes every trip: after delivering to stores, trucks collect products from local suppliers or retrieve recyclable packaging (cardboard, plastic, or polystyrene).
This model reduces unnecessary mileage, fuel consumption, and CO₂ emissions, while ensuring full traceability of collected waste.

Thanks to this integrated logistics system, Schiever combines economic performance with environmental responsibility.

A project for the future
ON THE ROAD TO GREEN HYDROGEN

As part of our energy transition, we want to convert part of our truck fleet to hydrogen.
The goal is ambitious: by 2026, 20% of our fleet will run on hydrogen, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions from our transport activities.

To meet this challenge, Schiever has teamed up with two specialist companies,
EHM
and
RH2 Engineering
,
which are working on retrofitting existing lorries. This innovative process involves retrofitting combustion engines to run on hydrogen, meaning they only emit water vapour. This technology, combined with the construction of a hydrogen station in Magny, near Avallon, is part of a decarbonisation initiative financially supported by the ADEME and the Bourgogne Franche Comté Region.

By experimenting with these concrete and innovative solutions, Schiever is actively committed to the transition towards greener and more sustainable transport.
