13 new stores under the U banner
A major transformation
Following the transformation of our first 15 stores on March 1, 13 new Group supermarkets have changed their name in the last 2 months.
Another major step in our transformation as anindependent retailer.
From Bourgogne-Franche-Comté to Haute-Savoie, via Seine-et-Marne, teams worked tirelessly to welcome the first customers to Super U and U Express stores.
This changeover is not simply a change of name. It’s an in-depth transformation, an affirmation of our independence and our attachment to our territories.
A collective, human and ambitious mobilization
Far from being trivial, this transformation has turned our logistics plans, IT tools and orders upside down. This change was made possible thanks to the exemplary mobilization of our store, head office and support function staff.
Reorganizing departments and assortments, redesigning sales areas, updating tills and tools: the transition was meticulously prepared in advance, enabling our stores to transform themselves efficiently and enthusiastically in just 48 hours.
More than 300 training courses and nearly
2,000 participants
to guarantee collective skills development.
Each store marked its changeover to the U banner with a symbolic inauguration, complete with ribbon-cutting and, in some cases, the presence of local elected representatives.
A convivial moment, much appreciated by customers, to celebrate the arrival of a new banner in their daily lives.
A new service offering for the regions
This change of name reflects our desire to join a cooperative and responsible model, working with a group of independent entrepreneurs who share our values of proximity, commitment and transparency.
By joining the Coopérative U, we are strengthening our commitment to more local, more accessible and clearer consumption for customers.
Alongside the group, we share a common ambition:
